Dark Rye Flour
Scientifically known as Secale Cereale, Rye is a gluten-rich grain, which is also high on minerals, antioxidants, pentosans and fiber. All of it gives it a unique taste and aromatic profile while being baked as a bread or a cookie.
The production of this grain is limited to only a handful of geographic locations in India. This heirloom variety has been growing in the upper Himalayan region for over 200 years now and was brought in by the missionaries from Slovenia.
Rye is a regenerative crop and improves soil quality index, and we are committed to reviving its production in India in the coming Rabi seasons, while experimenting with three varieties at the moment.
